Ark Health Care and Rehabilitaion at Branford Hills is a 190 bed skilled nursing facility specializing in Short Term Rehabilitation as well as offering Long Term care. Ark Health Care and Rehabilitaion at Branford Hills has been serving the Connecticut shoreline and Greater New Haven area for more than 30 years.
Legdewood Rehabilitation is a short term rehabilitation unit within Ark Health aCare and Rehabilitaion at Branford Hills designed to meet the needs of today’s post operative patients. It is well known throughout the area for its ongoing mission to provide the highest quality of care possible.

Our skilled interdisciplinary team develops a plan of care and innovative approach to therapy using state of the art modalities. This approach focuses on optimum benefit for each resident during their stay at our facility. Upon successful recovery, the Social Service department will help coordinate everything that you may require to get you settled back in the community upon discharge from Branford Hills Heath Care Center.
After receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, I gained invaluable experience working as a Registered Nurse for 6 years in the Hospital of Saint Raphael’s Cardiac Step down Unit. I obtained my Masters of Healthcare Administration from the University of New Haven in 1997 and spent considerable time as an Assistant Administrator at the Jewish Home for the Aged (JHA) in New Haven and administrator for both Apple Rehab Guilford & Laurel Woods. My professional affiliations include, but are not limited to the American College of Healthcare Administrators, Sigma Theta Tau – International Honor Society of Nursing as well as the Long Term Care Financial Managers, Shoreline Senior Alliance, Shoreline Neighborhood Alliance. Cumulatively, I have over 23 years of combined Nursing and Healthcare Administration experience.
