Established in 1974, Connecticut Hospice is America’s first hospice. Located on the scenic Branford shoreline, we provide both in-patient and home care hospice services.  We are a non-profit whose mission is to honor patients and families affected by life-limiting illnesses with integrity, support and compassion.

Hospice provides holistic and person-centered care to individuals with terminal illness. Medical, nursing care, social work, pastoral care, expressive arts therapies, dietary consults, bereavement, and volunteer services are available in both in-patient and home-care settings. We offer flexible care options provided in-patient or at home, and can move from location to location depending on the condition, needs, and wishes of the patient and their families. This flexible approach helps patients and their families choose the location of care that will best support their medical condition and quality of life. Typically, our services are fully covered by insurance. We collaborate with more than 50 Connecticut hospitals, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and home care providers.
